This is the real deal says Noel Edmonds as he ties the knot on a sunny summer day

by Deal Or No Deal host Noel Edmonds wed his former make-up artist and "soul mate" in a quiet country wedding, attended by around 40 friends and family.

For their big day in the Cotswold village of Lower Slaughter, the bride, 40-year-old Liz Davies had picked out a strapless affair featuring a crystal-embellished bodice.

Completing the look was a diamond necklace and a white veil held in place by a tiara.

Speaking afterwards, the TV host described the festivities as "magical".

The 60-year-old groom then went on to tell guests about the precise moment when they met – October 6, 2006 at six minutes past 11 in the morning.

He said: "Something strange happened, and here we are. To start with it was all very professional, but there was a look in both our eyes.

"If you speak to Liz, she would say she didn't sleep for three nights and I couldn't stop thinking about her."

The couple tied the knot in a civil ceremony in a 17th-century manor, before heading to nearby St Mary's Church for a blessing. They are now honeymooning in the South of France.

Noel was previously married twice before. His second union to Helen Soby – the mother of his four daughters – ended in 2004.
