Kanye West and Kim Kardashian's wedding photo took four days to perfect

Kanye West has revealed that it took him and his new wife Kim Kardashian four days to perfect their wedding photo. The rapper and the reality TV star, who are usually very active on social mediaonly released the first photo from the ceremony days after the nuptials had passed. Kim, 33, posted the Instagram snapshot of herself and Kanye kissing in front of a wall of white flowers. It has since gained 2.3million "likes". It wasn't an easy process, however, to achieve that perfectly captured shot.

According to Kanye, who was speaking at the Cannes Lions festival on Tuesday, their chosen photographer Annie Leibovitz pulled out the day before the ceremony. But that didn't stop the music star from making sure that his wedding photos would be up to standard. "I'll tell you a little story about the kiss photo that my girl put up," said the Yeezus hitmaker, who was sitting on the panel of a segment called: Technology, Culture and Consumer Adoption: Learning to Read the Cultural Landscape. "Because Annie pulled out, I was like 'I still want my wedding photos to look like Annie Leibovitz's photos' and we sat there and worked on that photo for four days – because the flowers were off-colour and stuff like that," he said.

"Can you imagine telling someone who wants to just Instagram a photo, who's the number one person on Instagram, 'We need to work on the colour of the flower wall,' or the idea that it's a Givenchy dress, and it's not about the name Givenchy, it's about the talent that is Riccardo Tisci – and how important Kim is to the internet? "It was a long time," he added.

According to reports, Kanye is also adamant that the couple do not sell their wedding photos to magazines, despite estimations the snaps would be worth more than £6million. "These are Kim’s wedding pictures," an insider said. "Kim and Kanye were getting offers for money, and they decided with their teams not to take any." The couple married in a lavish ceremony in Florence, Italy last month, in front of 600 guests.
