Tom Hardy and Charlotte Riley married in 'beautiful, low-key ceremony'

by Tom Hardy and Charlotte Riley are husband and wife, according to new reports.

The couple, who were subject to marriage rumours back in April, are believed to have tied the knot two months ago in the south of France.

The Sun on Sunday claims that Tom, 39, and Charlotte, 32, said 'I do' at the 18th century castle Chateau de Roussan in Provence on 4 July.

"It was a beautiful, low-key day made even more special because they just had their closest friends and family around them," a source told the newspaper. "Tom's son Louis played a key role during the ceremony and they made certain to pick a stunning and private setting.

"There was nothing flash about the wedding,"
added the source. "They always said they wanted it to be about the two of them and their family rather than any grand gesture."

Rachel Speed, Tom's ex-girlfriend and the mother of his six-year-old son Louis, was also in attendance at the couple's nuptials.

Peaky Blinders actor Tom has previously credited his only child with helping him focus on his career during a period of drug and alcohol addiction.

"I had no idea how to handle the industry, [how] to interact with producers, executive producers, studios," Tom told the Metro. "I was 24 – punching above my weight.

"It’s taken being someone's dad, being divorced, going to rehab, having mortgages, playing different characters, doing theatre, waiting and then it not happening and then doing rather well at something, enjoying my character work, but it not being a huge amount of money."

London-born Tom and Durham-born Charlotte have been dating for six years and got engaged in 2010. Tom was previously married to Sarah Ward from 1999 to 2004.
