The couple, who married on Saturday in New Orleans, have shared two black and white snapshots showing them kissing and dancing in front of their guests.
"Officially Mr. and Mrs. King! Best night ever!," wrote newlywed Candice alongside one of the photos.
The Vampire Diaries star, 27, made a beautiful bride in a Monique Lhullier wedding gown, while the groom, 34, looked dapper in a Tom Ford suit.
A number of Candice's co-stars from past and previous shows were there to celebrate the occasion; while Ian Somerhalder was unable to make it, he sent a special message to the couple offering his best wishes for their "magical day".
It's the first marriage for Candice and second for Joe, who has two daughters
"Candice and Joe - my brother, my sister. What a magical day this is for both of you. From the eye of the storm I am still with you in spirit!," he wrote alongside a snap of him with film crew members.
"I am missing my home state of Louisiana and my city, the great city of New Orleans. Sending you so much love from my shoot in ATL- I'm working hard & I wish I could be there physically, but we have the rest of our lives to celebrate. I love you guys! So. Much. "
Candice and Joe first met at a Super Bowl event in February 2011 - but it was Candice's co-star Nina Dobrev who brought them together.
"I was too chicken to give him my number, so Nina did," Candice, 27, told PEOPLE in June 2013.
This is the first marriage for the actress, and the second for Joe, 34, who has two daughters, Ava and Elise.
