Chrissy Teigen shared a snap of herself looking every inch the blushing bride, the day after tying the knot with her singer fiancé John Legend on Lake Como, Italy.

The 27-year-old model struck a picture-perfect pose in an ivory strapless, V-neck ball gown with a tulle skirt and tiered flange, and hand-cut petal embroidered detail.

The Vera Wang wedding dress, which received a seal of approval from fans with more than 23k likes, was just one of three gowns by the same designer that the model donned for her big day.

After saying "I do" to Grammy winner John in a lavish outdoor ceremony on northern Italy's picturesque lake, the bride changed into a mermaid ivory gown complete with a pleated bodice and sheared organza full skirt for the reception.

John posted a romantic black-and-white shot of the newlyweds captured in a tender moment. Chrissy was in her second dress choice of the day, with her hair swept into a chic chignon and decorated with flowers.

She went for a crimson strapless mermaid gown for the evening party.

Ahead of her wedding – which Chrissy kept from fans, later tweeting, "Phew. I gotta say, that was a hard secret to keep from you guys" – the American model told E! News that she couldn't stop buying Vera Wang's gowns.

"Every time I went in for a fitting, I couldn't stop getting one," she explained.

"It's just too pretty. "Of the wedding itself, Chrissy revealed that she had left all the details to a wedding planner.

"I'm excited. I can't wait for the ceremony. [John] and I have been working and travelling so much that we just let our wedding planner do everything. We're not neurotic about it. I just want to finally see all of my friends in one area.

"Chrissy got engaged to John in 2011 after four years of dating, when he popped the question while the pair were on holiday in the Maldives.
