TV star Hermione Norris is on the hunt to find the 15 worst cooks in Britain who she can help to improve their culinary skills.
The actress, who is best known for her role in Spooks and is soon to appear in Doctor Who, will be fronting the annual Disaster Chef campaign run by Kenwood.
Describing herself as a "kitchen novice," Hermione will help participants become master chefs and live up to the stars in television shows such as Great British Bake Off.
"While we are a nation that loves cookery shows, our research shows that this certainly isn't translating into our cooking at home," said Kenwood's director of UK and Ireland marketing, Mark Swift. Research found that one in ten actually felt inferior and intimidated after watching the professionals onscreen.
Kenwood Disaster Chef will be open for entries from Monday 1 September via the Facebook app. Visit www.kenwooddisaster-chef.com for more information.
