Jordan's King Abdullah II was reunited with his beloved wife Queen Rania on Thursday, after she flew home to Amman from New York following treatment for an irregular heartbeat.
The sovereign had been at Rania's side as she underwent non-surgical catheterisation, on September 27, but work commitments meant he had to return to his country ahead of his wife.
Upon her return, 40-year-old Rania wrote a heartfelt post on her blog to express her gratitude for the support she has received over the last week.
"Your get-well wishes and prayers made me feel that I’m a mother, a daughter and a sister to you all, not just a Queen," she wrote.
"You are my family and I live to serve our one Jordanian family. I pray that God give me strength to keep serving you, and to achieve His Majesty’s vision of improving the lives of all Jordanians.
"I thank God for all his blessings and for the love and affection that bonds us all."
