The Sing to Beat Breast Cancer choir have teamed up with Camilla Kerslake and vocal trio Blake to release the new single You Raise Me Up to raise money in aid of Breast Cancer Campaign. The release of the single will be 13 October to coincide with Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Breast Cancer Campaign is a charity very close to Camilla’s heart after her mother was diagnosed with the diseased. The 25-year-old has already campaigned a lot for the Royal Marsden Cancer charity and other breast cancer charity and therefore is the perfect ambassador for the cause and the charity single.
The money raised from the release of You Raise Me Up will go towards Breast Cancer Campaign continuing its research across the UK and Ireland.
The members of the Sing to Beat Breast Cancer Choir are women from across the UK who have all been directly affected by the illness in one way or another. Many have been diagnosed themselves and some are still undergoing treatment. Speaking about the choir Camilla said "I wanted to create a choir of women directly affected by breast cancer because I believe both music and a sense of belonging can be immensely healing."
