When Kate Middleton emerged from her Phantom Rolls Royce VI in the intricately, lace-adorned gown, the world let out a collective gasp.
Now, the public might get the opportunity to see the most anticipated dress of the century up close.
Clarence House has stated that plans are being drawn up, and a spokeswoman commented on the possibility.
"The Duchess of Cambridge is considering a number of options to give members of the public the opportunity to see close up the skilled British craftmanship that went into the making of her wedding dress by Sarah Burton and her team as well as the Royal School of Needlework," she said.
Although she did not state where the dress – which was the best-kept secret of the royal wedding - might be shown, a number of Diana's dresses went on display at Kensington Palace.
