Canadian actor Dean McDermott is in intensive care with a punctured and collapsed lung after crashing his motorcycle on Tuesday.
The 43-year-old was with friends when the collision took place and they described how his chest crashed into the handlebars as he tumbled over the front of the bike.
On Thursday, however, the actor was feeling well enough to write on Twitter.
"Thanks for the well wishes. A collapsed lung is no fun, and is a lengthy heal. Feeling pretty bad today. Day 2 is always the worst," he posted.
Dean is expected to make a full recovery, though, and according to wife Tori Spelling he has promised to give up his daredevil hobby.
"I just held his hand and cried," she recalled of first seeing him in the hospital.
"That's when he said, 'I'll never do this again. You and the kids mean everything to me.'"
