Seemingly in disbelief, Helen Glover stares at her rowing partner showing off an Olympic gold medal.
After the ceremony on Wednesday, the PE teacher slept with hers next to her pillow.
In the boat with her was Helen Stanning, an Army officer who has a tour of duty in Afghanistan next year.
The pair blazed over the finish at Eton Dorney, giving Britain their first gold of the Games.
Helen told the BBC: "We only had a couple of hours sleep. We're just both buzzing; we're so excited about the whole thing."
The rest of the country is excited too; the pair feature on a Royal Mail stamp in their honour – an accolade the oarsome ladies describe as "surreal".
