King of pop Michael Jackson was generally healthy for his age before he died from an overdose of sedatives, his autopsy revealed.
Contrary to reports he was emaciated, his 9st 10lbs weight was within the normal range for his 5ft 9in height. And his heart and other major organs were strong and healthy.
And far from being full of a cocktail of drugs, his system contained only the anaesthetic propofol and lidocaine – a local anesthetic sometimes used to numb injection sites - and ephedrine which is a commonly used resuscitation stimulant.
No other drugs - legal or illegal - were detected, nor was any alcohol.
The report did find that he was suffering from arthritis in his lower spine and some fingers and his lungs were chronically inflamed which might have left him short of breath.
His lung condition was not deemed serious enough to be a direct or contributing cause of death, however.
The document also showed the 50-year-old singer had a number of scars caused by cosmetic surgery and several aesthetic tattoos.
