Melissa McCarthy’s hand and foot prints have been cemented in the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The 44-year-old actress, comedian, writer and producer was selected for her very own star on the Hollywood Boulevard to celebrate her shining career in the entertainment industry.
Other stars to be added to the Hollywood Walk of Fame next year include Sofia Vergara, Will Ferrell, Jennifer Garner, and Pharrell Williams. Individuals were picked from hundreds of nominations by the Walk of Fame Selection Committee.
McCarthy first hit our screens as Sookie St. James in Gilmore Girls and she was also a co-host on Saturday Night Live, for which she was nominated for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series.
Her breakthrough film role in the comedy hit Bridesmaids in 2011 earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress, a BAFTA nomination and a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
This year the actress starred in the movie Tammy, directed by her husband Ben Falcone. The couple have two children together and are also founders of the production company On the Day.
