She's an Oscar winning actress, but it seems busy Gordon Brown is less familiar with Reese Witherspoon than your average cinema goer.
When the Hollywood star called in at the House of Commons, the Prime Minister appeared to confuse her with another leading lady, Renee Zellweger.
"I am very grateful that Renee Witherspoon is leading this campaign," Mr Brown said.
"She spoke movingly at the funeral of (film director) Anthony Minghella and I welcome her to the House today."
The PM went to the film director's memorial service last year - but it was actually Bridget Jones actress Renee who was also in attendence, not Reese.
In her role as beauty brand Avon's global ambassador, Walk the Line's Reese was in London calling for more help for victims of domestic violence.
"There remains what can seem like an impenetrable wall of silence around violence and we must all play a role in breaking this silence," she says.
