America's First Lady Michelle Obama had some words of advice – and warm embraces – for youngsters at a graduation ceremony in Washington this week.
The US president's stylish wife told students they were "more than ready" for the challenges ahead and to ignore those who said they would fail.
The 45-year-old spoke about her own upbringing and her struggle to get - and complete - an Ivy League education amidst "voices of people sowing doubts in my head". She revealed that while she was always confident, "there was a part of me that started to believe the doubters".
She also mentioned someone else who has overcome hardship - her husband. "This bi-racial kid with a funny name from Hawaii of all places, who was taught that anything is possible"
