Like any first time mum, Coleen Rooney will be looking to her family, and of course her own mother, for support as she settles into her new maternal role.
So rather than heading back to the Cheshire home she shares with her husband, the 23-year-old and Wayne went to her parents' home after leaving hospital on Monday.
Less than 24 hours after welcoming their first child, baby Kai, the couple were driven to Colette and Tony's nearby house, which has been specially kitted out with a new nursery.
"Wayne and Coleen jumped at the idea of staying with her parents for a while," a friend told the Sun.
"Both families are nearby and would want to come round, so it makes sense to be at her mum's."
It was also revealed Coleen shunned the idea of hiring a nanny to help out.
And just in case any neighbours weren't aware of the happy news, the arrival of Kai was celebrated with an 8ft cut-out stork planted in the garden of the house.
The white, blue and yellow sign read: "It's a boy. Kai. Born on 2 Nov 2009, 8lb 0oz."
Meanwhile beaming dad Wayne made a surprise appearance for his football club Manchester United on Tuesday – hours after the arrival of his son – helping them secure a 3-3 draw.
