Rihanna secured her seventh number one single in seven consecutive years yesterday after her latest song, The Monster which she features on with rapper Eminem, went straight to number one.
The 25-year-old songstress has now equaled the record of The Beatles and Elvis Presley, the only other performers who have achieved this.
One Direction were hoping to claim the number one spot with their latest release Story Of My Life, after topping the charts for most of the week, but the boyband slipped to fourth place after being overtaken on the last day by Rihanna and Eminem, Lordes and Fatboy Slim.
This isn't the first time Rihanna has collaborated with rapper Eminem. The two previously released the single Love the Way You Lie, which made in to number two in the charts back in 2010.
