Dressed up as the Cowardly Lion, and with Dorothy and the Tin Man at his side, it looked like Elton John might've been about to perform his song Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.
But the singer and his pals - who were in fact Meryl Streep and Sting, instead sang If I Only Had a Brain from The Wizard of Oz.
The fun – which took place at New York's Carnegie Hall – was all in aid of the Rainforest Fund.
'Songs from the silver screen' was the theme of the charity concert, which also featured performances from Jennifer Hudson and Bruno Mars.
Sting's wife Trudy Styler, elegant in a white gown, was on hosting duty.
