It has been an emotional rollercoaster of a year for Sandra Bullock so far.
She finalised her divorce from estranged husband Jesse James, adopted a beautiful baby boy that she will now raise on her own and beat the likes of Meryl Streep and Dame Helen Mirren to winning her first Oscar for best actress in her most recent film The Blind Side.
And to top it all off, she has now been named Hollywood's highest-paid actress by Forbes.
Defying the fact that paychecks for actresses are usually smaller than those of their male co-stars, the 46-year-old amassed an estimated $56 million between June 2009 and June 2010.
The Proposal, which was released in the UK in July 2009, grossed $320 million on an estimated budget of $40 million, while The Blind Side, released in March 2010, grossed $310 million at the box office on a budget of $30 million.
Tied for second on the list were Cameron Diaz and Reese Witherspoon, who each earned $32 million.
