Musical superstar Sir Paul McCartney's talent has been recognised by our French neighbours.
The Band On The Run singer has been nominated for the French Legion of Honour, the highest public honour available in France.
The decoration will be awarded for the musician's services to music.
The 70-year-old will be given the rank by current Prime Minister Francois Hollande.
Sir Paul will join singers Barbra Streisand, Dame Shirley Bassey and Liza Minelli in receiving the honour.
The singer received a knighthood for his services to music in 1997.
