Robbie Williams has celebrated hitting the UK chart top spot after having an eight-year dry spell.
The singer's 14th number one single, Candy, was co-written with Take That star and X Factor judge Gary Barlow, who Robbie has now overtaken with his chart-topping record.
Selling around 137,000 copies, the single is the fastest selling tune of a male artist this year.
Robbie told OfficialCharts.com: "Number one... yeah! So chuffed. Really, really happy that Candy reached the top spot. Good work Team Williams and thanks to everyone who got it there. I'm so excited about this album and this is a great start."
The singer's new album, Take The Crown, will be released on Monday.
