Sharon Osbourne will apparently be mentoring her X Factor acts by Skype as she will jet back to the US during the show.
The former judge has rejoined this year's panel, but The Sun said her new contestants won't get as close contact as those in previous years.
Sharon, who will be flying between London and LA to host US chat show The Talk, tweeted: "How lucky am I to have 2 jobs @TheTalk_CBS & @TheXFactor? I will be going back & forth all yr, best of both worlds!"
An X Factor spokesperson apparently told The Sun that Sharon would only fly back "a couple of times" during the live shows and that most of her travel would be during auditions and boot camp.
The paper's source said: "Sharon has done a deal which will see her jet back and forth a number of times, with her flights paid for by ITV. That was one of her conditions. But she is still confident she can give her acts the support they need. "There are a million ways to keep in touch with people. Many of the judges aren't there every day of the week."
