Following on from William Hague's words of support, Prince Andrew has the full backing of Prime Minister David Cameron.
The Duke of York's future as UK trade ambassador was widely questioned after news of his friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Espstein emerged.
But the British leader's spokesman said there his position would not be downgraded and that Mr Cameron had "full confidence" in the royal.
"We fully support Prince Andrew in his role as trade envoy," said the spokesman. "Our position is very clear. There is no review of his role.
"The prime minister thinks he is doing an important job and is making a major contribution and he is supportive of him in that role."
