Raymone Bain, a former publicist of Michael Jackson, is suing the star for £29 million for allegedly failing to pay her for her services.
Ms Bain, who acted as the pop star's publicist until 2005, has said the Thriller singer agreed to give her a share of profits made from deals she had arranged, and she was "disappointed" he had not.
It was with "deep regret", said Ms Bain, who's a trained lawyer, that she'd decided to take legal action against someone she "greatly admired and respected".
"I am sincerely disappointed in Mr Jackson's failure to honour his obligations," she added.
The deals include the 25th anniversary re-release of chart-topping album Thriller, and Michael's upcoming O2 concerts in London in July
