Harrison Ford's severe ankle injury means production on Star Wars: Episode VII will come to a halt next month.
The 71-year-old screen legend's recent accident at Pinewood Studios in London saw him airlifted to hospital in Oxford where his wife, Ally Mcbeal actress Calista Flockhart, travelled from the United States to be with him.
He underwent successful surgery a few days after the accident and in a fresh statement released by Disney and Lucasfilm on the Star Wars website on 6 July it was revealed that production will take a two week break in August while Harrison recovers from his injury.
It also stated that Harrison is doing well following the incident and is looking forward to returning to the set soon.
Despite the brief break, shooting remains on track to finish this autumn with the film scheduled to be released on 18 December 2015.
