Despite the storm currently engulfing her private life, Coleen Rooney is maintaining a dignified silence while she ponders the future of her marriage.
The footballer's wife – who has built a career in her own right as a TV personality and fashion columnist – has remained at her parents' home in Liverpool caring for her baby Kai, without addressing the media.
Her sports star husband Wayne, meanwhile, has been urged by his coach to focus on the job in hand – his team's match in Switzerland on Tuesday.
Fabio Capello said: "At different moments you have to separate the private life and the job.
"You have to be strong to divide the two.
"You have to live the job really well and find solutions to the problems.
"The first part is my job.
"The other is his problem."
He also defended his treatment of Wayne – compared to John Terry, who lost his captain's role over an alleged affair.
"John Terry played all the games after what happened," he countered. "It was only the armband. I felt it was important to do that. Rooney is not the captain."
