Excitement in Spain is building after the country's favourite aristocrat has announced the date she will marry.
The Duchess of Alba has confirmed she will marry Alfonso Diez on October 5.
They had been waiting to find a date that was convenient for all their guests to attend.
The 85-year-old noblewoman, whose first name is Cayetana, will wed her 61-year-old fiancé in her ancestral palace Las Dueñas in Seville.
Ahead of the wedding, Alfonso has returned to his job in Madrid at the Ministry of Employment. He will work his final weeks before taking an extended leave of absence.
After the wedding the newlyweds will live in Seville, and the civil servant will look for a new job.
"We have so many friends there I doubt it'll be difficult for him to find a new one," Cayetana told HELLO! magazine's sister publication Hola! in an exclusive pre-wedding interview.
