America's first lady Michelle Obama has topped Forbes' list of the world's most powerful women.
Rising 39 places since last year's rankings, the 46-year-old was hailed as a "fashion icon and an athletic mother of two".
"She's Jacqueline Kennedy with a law degree from Harvard and street sense from Chicago's South Side," the magazine said.
Completing the top five are Kraft Food boss Irene Roseneld, Oprah Winfrey, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Hillary Clinton.
As the only Briton to feature in the top 100, the Queen was placed in 41st place.
Lady Gaga and Beyonce both made the top ten, placed seventh and ninth, while Carla Bruni comes in 35th place and model Heidi Klum at number 39.
Forbes has said that this year's list was based "less on traditional titles and roles and more on creative influence and entrepreneurship."
