He originally turned down Simon Cowell's request to join the panel, but it seems there are no hard feelings between Noel Gallagher and the X Factor creator.
The rock star says he would have made the ‘perfect’ judge after correctly predicting the final 16.
In an interview with Real Radio Yorkshire, he said: "I don't mind the X Factor, I've got an 11-year-old daughter; she's obsessed with it, as all 11-year-old girls are.
"I was watching it on Saturday actually, and I managed to pick everybody they put through to the live finals."
During the interview, which will be broadcast on Saturday morning, Noel talks about Simon Cowell's attempts to get him on the judging panel.
"I know him and he was going 'we want you to be on it' ", he said.
"I was going 'you don't really want me on it - I won't put anyone through!’"
Noel also revealed that his daughter, Anais, wasn't impressed to learn that her father had turned down an opportunity to take part in the show.
"She went into a rage when she found out I'd turned it down."
Besides keeping up to date with X Factor, Noel has also been busy making new music - he releases his first solo album, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, later this month.
