Fresh from their highly succesful Diamond Jubilee tour, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will open the FA's national football park on October 9.
The royal couple will be given a tour of the new St George's football park by England manager Roy Hodgson, where they will watch the England squad train for the first time on the new pitch.
They will then attend a reception at the indoor sports hall, where William, president of the Football Association, will give a speech about one of his sporting passions.
The impressive new arena boasts twelve football pitches on site, as well as a sports medicine and sports science centre for study.
The ceremony is regarded as "one of the biggest events in the FA's 149 year history".
