A series of incidents interrupted this year's Royal Variety Performance.
The second half saw the show's biggest performers take the stage, and although it didn't go completely to plan, host Peter Kay managed to smooth over the glitches.
The comedian hosted the event at Salford Quays in Greater Manchester which included star turns from artists including Tony Bennett, Pixie Lott, Cee Lo Green and Britain's Got Talent winner Jai McDowall.
Barry Manilow was the first to fall victim to the gremlins.
"The whole tune was wrong, I was singing in the wrong place," he said before leaving the stage as a second take was arranged.
Another hitch took place following Barry's performance, after a public address system announcement to the audience.
"Ladies and gentlemen, please remain seated, we do have a technical problem."
The stage was empty for several minutes before Peter re-emerged to quip: "Anyone got a screwdriver?"
After a performance of the Phantom Of The Opera by Nicole Scherzinger, Peter then came back on to joke: "Thanks for buying a ticket.
"Technically tonight you are my employers and judging by what's gone on I wish I'd thrown a sickie."
Viewers are unlikely to see the pre-recorded show’s blunders when the edited version is aired.
