A televised advert for sports brand Nike has been shown for the first time across the US.
The campaign includes golf ace Tiger Woods and the voice of his late father, Earl.
The commercial directly refers to the sportsman's personal problems and has been timed to coincide with the eve of his return to competitive golf at the Masters tournament in Georgia.
The 33-second black and white ad shows Tiger looking directly into the camera without speaking while a recording of Earl - who died in 2006 - is heard.
"Tiger, I am more prone to be inquisitive, to promote discussion," Earl Woods says.
"I want to find out what your thinking was; I want to find out what your feelings are.
"Did you learn anything?"
Nike was one of a handful of major sponsors to stand by Tiger after allegations of his infidelity emerged.
