Paralympic champion David Weir has welcomed a baby girl into the world.

The six-times gold medallist became a father for the third time with Tillia Grace London Weir, who was born on Sunday night, weighing 6lb 7oz.

Partner Emily Thorne gave birth within fifteen minutes of arriving at St Helier Hospital in Wallington.

David was thrilled with the new arrival and commented on the smoothness of the birth.

He said: "She is beautiful and everything wonderful. Everything was so easy and straightforward: like going out shopping and coming home with a baby!"

The six-times gold-winning marathon medallist is also a father to daughter Ronie and son Mason.
