Tess Daly's book hopes 'dashed' by poor sales

Tuesday March 9, 2010

The newly-released book of memoirs from Tess Daly has been selling slowly.

Coinciding with news of husband Vernon Kay's racy text messages to numerous women, the promotion for Tess's book was kept to a minimum.

As a result, the Strictly presenter's hopes for the book top best-selling lists are unlikely to be realised.

"Sales may pick up in the run-up to Mothering Sunday, but any hopes of Tess’s book making the bestsellers lists have been dashed," a publishing source tells the Daily Mail

"The success of books by celebrities hinges on high-profile appearances and energetic promotion. Tess simply felt unable to promote her book in the way she would have liked."
