John Hurt has spilled the beans on what his role in the Doctor Who 50th anniversary episode will involve.
Alien actor John has told the Eastern Daily Press what his part in BBC's hit sci-fi drama will be.
He said that he plays "part of the Doctor" in a "kind of trinity" that also includes David Tennant.
John will star alongside David and Matt Smith, thought to be the only Doctors returning for the special programme.
Former 'Time Lords' Sylvester McCoy, Colin Bakewr and Paul McGann have all said they would be interested in returning but that they have heard nothing from the creators of the show.
Christopher Eccleston, the ninth Doctor who appeared on the programme in 2005, was asked to take part but decided not to.
Programme writer Robert Banks Stewart says fans should expect lots of monsters in the anniversary episode, which will be shot in 3D.
