Prince Charles has come face-to-face with an ogre and a fairytale princess.
The British royal met up with the stars of Shrek The Musical this week at a special charity gala performance.
He broke into a huge grin as he shook hands with the star of the show, played by Nigel Lindsay.
In full costume, including green makeup and padded clothing, the actor admitted his wardrobe meant he got extremely hot on stage.
His colleague, Amanda Holden, meanwhile, was dressed in more comfortable attire - her glistening Princess Fiona gown.
The prince attended the show with his godchildren Princess Maria Olympia of Greece, 14, and Rowan Brudenell, 10.
He was also introduced to Richard Blackwood, who stars as Donkey, and former EastEnder Nigel Harman, who acts out his role as Lord Farquaard on his knees for almost the entire production.
Shrek The Musical officially opens to the public next week.
