Cheryl Cole spent her fifth day in hospital suffering from malaria surrounded by friends and family who have not left her side since she was admitted.
The 27-year-old beauty is being tended to by mum Joan Callaghan and dancer pal Derek Hough, who was with her on holiday to Tanzania last month, when she is believed to have contracted the illness.
Derek is said to have turned down all work commitments to be able to care for Cheryl, who was transferred to the Hospital for Tropical Diseases to receive treatment from specialists after spending three days in the intensive care unit of a London hospital.
According to reports, the singer has fluid on her lungs, which suggests she may be ill with the most serious form of malaria.
Cheryl has cancelled upcoming commitments, including the final round of auditions for this year's X Factor
Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger will take Cheryl's place on the judging panel.
