Rafael Nadal claimed his second US Open title on Monday by beating world No. 1 Novak Djokovic.
After a seven-month absence due to a knee injury Rafa returned to the court to beat Novak 6-2, 3-6, 6-4, 6-1 in their 37th game against each other.
The contest garnered a lot of celebrity attention, with David Beckham, Kevin Spacey, Jessica Alba, Leonardo DiCaprio, Sean Connery, Justin Timberlake and many more well-known faces turning out to watch the two best players in the world fight it out for the prestigious trophy.
The match didn't disappoint the A-list crowd lasting nearly three-and-a-half hours with many close games and a 54-shot rally.
This win takes Rafa's total to 13 major championships ranking him third in the history of men's tennis. The 27-year-old is beaten only by Roger Federer, who holds 17 and Pete Sampras who garnered 14.
