The proceedings of Paul McCartney's acrimonious divorce from former model Heather Mills were played out in front of millions last year.
The Beatles legend has said he prefers to look on the positive aspects of the relationship, however.
“I don’t want to down anyone. These things happen. I tend to look at the positive side, which is that I have another beautiful daughter out of it,” says the 67-year-old, who shares custody of six-year-old Beatrice with Heather.
When asked to name the best thing about the century, the singer proceeded to gush about his new love Nancy Shevell.
"Just being with my children. And having a new girlfriend. That is very nice, thank you.”
"I’ve managed to feel quite fulfilled this decade.”
Paul - who is making an appearance on this weekend's X Factor - also denied reports that he is soon to retire.
“I have too much fun,” he said. “Why would I retire? Sit at home and watch TV? No thanks. I’d rather be out playing.”
