Jodie Kidd and hat designer Stephen Jones have unveiled his haute couture line of bike helmets designed especially for Sports Relief.
Britain's most famous hat designer drew inspiration from the world of sport to create the innovative designs which were comminssioned by milk Brand Cravendale to raise awareness of its limited editions Sport Relief bottles.
The three different helmet designs all include acrylic sculptures designed to create the illusion of giant splashes of Cravendale milk. Sitting atop of these sculptures is an eye-catching athletic embellishment – a red running shoe, blue swimming goggles and a green bicycle wheel.
Each helmet will be on display at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London from 23 March.
Discussing his designs Stephen Jones said “When I was approached by Cravendale to create these cycle helmets it seemed like a marvellous opportunity to raise awareness of a fantastic charitable cause and posed an interesting creative challenge: how to turn pieces of sporting headgear into examples of haute couture millinery.”
