When Sir Bob Geldof's daughter, then 19, and her 23-year-old boyfriend decided to get hitched on a whim in Las Vegas last year eyebrows were raised.
Now Peaches' ex-husband, Max Drummey, has made tongue-in-cheek comments addressing speculation they entered into the short-lived union simply to promote their respective careers.
"It was totally a publicity stunt. 100 per cent. I have (Peaches) on retainer," he says.
"Not as my PR, as my friend. On my personal payroll," added the American Chester French musician, who's on a visit to the UK with the other half of the outfit, DA Wallach. "She's my friend for money. She also orchestrates publicity stunts for me."
He and Sir Bob's girl tied the knot in a 15-minute ceremony in August 2008, later releasing a statement saying the marriage had "the support of family and friends". By February of this year they had already parted company
