X Factor stylist Grace Woodward will not be returning to dress hopefuls on this year's show.
The fashion guru – who made some controversial outfit choices during last year's contest – won't be working on the new series, which kicks off next week.
An X Factor spokeswoman said: "Grace is pursuing other projects and we wish her well."
The stylist attracted some criticism from the judging panel last year when she dressed Katie Waissel in a plastic helmet, and put eventual winner Matt Cardle in neon yellow trousers.
Her publicist said: "Grace only agreed to do one series with The X Factor so technically she hasn't been sacked from the job.
"Grace had a wonderful time last year and knows better than anyone how Simon likes to keep everyone on their toes; the rumour mill is always turning.
"Her career is moving in many different directions and she is currently busy focusing on other TV and fashion projects, so exciting times all round."
Grace is currently working on her new Sky Living show Chick Fix, where she helps people resolve problems and make life-changing decisions.
