Police are on the look out for the brother of Cheryl Cole after he failed to turn up for a court hearing.
A judge issued an arrest warrant for Andrew Tweedy after he missed the appointment at Newcastle Crown Court.
The 29-year-old was due to face charges of allegedly breaching the terms of the suspended prison sentence he was given for assault.
His barrister, Paul Caulfield, told the court: 'I don't know why he isn't here, he has been informed of the proceedings.'
Cheryl's elder brother was spared jail in May for the attack, which happened last August. He has previously been sentenced to prison time for other offences.
He has also spoken of his shame at letting his pop star sibling down.
"It tears me up to think I'm causing my sister so much pain. I've told Cheryl she should be ashamed, but she says she'll never give up on me," he has said.
