Former beauty queen Mona Lewis has been fired from reality show The Apprentice after her team, led by Debra Barr, lost this week's task to re-brand the seaside town of Margate.
The 28-year-old senior business manager was told by Sir Alan Sugar that it was with regret he was sending her home. He justified his decision by saying: "I don’t see any creativity here, and I have to start thinking about where you would slot into my organisation."
For Mona the end of the road in the fifth series of the competition came at just the right time.
The mum-of-one has said she was "ready to go" because she was desperately missing her six-year-old son. "I'd got to a point where I really could not go on any more. It was really, really tough," she told a BBC breakfast show
