On what would have been her 28th birthday, Amy Winehouse's heartbroken fiancé has been remembering the little-known side of the girl he loved.
Film director Reg Traviss said the pop star lived a "normal life" that revolved around watching TV and cooking him meals.
"If I got home a bit late she would wait up. She was maybe a bit old-fashioned.
"She was very feminine. She was domestic, she enjoyed being like that."
In an interview with the Sun, Reg, 34, has been agonising about his decision not to spend the night with her the evening she died.
The toxicology report indictated that Amy may have passed away after suffering a seizure while detoxing from alcohol.
"If I'd gone over there I'd have woken her up, we'd have sat up all night watching films," he said.
