Vernon Kay makes on-air apology for 'foolishness'

Monday February 15, 2010

In light of the racy text messages exchanged between Vernon Kay and numerous glamour models, the married presenter has made an apology on his radio show.

During his BBC slot - which he had been unsure about attending - Vernon told listeners he had made "foolish" decisions.

"I've disappointed and let down a lot of people. To my family and everybody, I'm very sorry," he said.

Meanwhile, wife Tess has cancelled all her scheduled television appearances over the next week.

The mother-of-two was due to appear on The One Show and This Morning while promoting her new book, The Baby Diaries: Memories, Milestones and Misadventures.
