While a movie can guarantee many actors a multi-million pound pay-slip, it seems money isn't everything to British actress Keira Knightley.
The Oscar-nominated star has just finished filming of an art film parodying her many roles in costume dramas - and she did the work for free.
Using a local bed and breakfast as her dressing room, Keira worked for no fee while the film was shot in a day for £15,000.
"I loved the idea of doing something that was purely creative, weird and wonderful and not a commercial venture," the actress tells The Independent.
The film will be shown among an exhibition at London's Riflemaker gallery next month.
