Britain's Got Talent judge Simon Cowell has revealed he feels he is to blame over the breakdown Susan Boyle suffered after being sky-rocketed to fame following her initial audition.
"I had total responsibility for the fact that we had auditioned her on the show, we'd put her through, that we'd created this enormous story," explains the 50-year-old.
Simon admits that he "didn't realise the pressure she was under that week with all the scrutiny".
With all this in mind, the music mogul told the BBC he feels he has a "duty of care" towards the former church worker.
"I speak to her once every two or three weeks… She still calls me Mr Cowell," he says.
