Prince Frederik and Princess Mary of Denmark have chosen April 14 as the auspicious date on which to baptise their twins.
The ceremony will take place at Holmen church in Copenhagen (pictured), which holds a special place in the heart of the twins' grandmother, Queen Margrethe, who was married there in 1967.
The twins, a boy and a girl, were born on January 8 this year. As tradition dictates, their names won't be revealed until the christening.
Due to the location, the event will be a much more intimate affair than the christening of Mary and Frederik's eldest child Christian, four.
His ceremony, which took place at the Christiansborg palace chapel, was attended by over 300 dignitaries and heads of state.
