Hot property Michael Sheen is set to play a baddie in the next instalment of the James Bond series, according to media reports.
The 40-year-old star will reprise the role of Ernst Stavro Blofeld, a character who almost always appears with a white Persian cat, and who has featured in six previous Bond films, the Daily Express reports. He was last seen in 1983's Never Say Never Again.
News of Michael's potential involvement comes days after it was confirmed Peter Morgan - the writer behind Frost/Nixon, the film in which the actor gave an Oscar-nominated performance as David Frost (pictured) – will work on the next Bond script.
Released in 2011, the new instalment will again star Daniel Craig in the title role.
"Michael was a Bond fan in his youth, so this would be a dream role for him," a source has said.
